ALSEAMAR is a high-tech company gathering the marine and underwater activities of the ALCEN industrial group for Ocean Science markets, Defence & Security, and Offshore Oil & Gas. ALSEAMAR has 100 employees, mostly located south of France with close access to the sea. The vocation of ALSEAMAR is to design and manufacture equipment to deliver new services using technology and know-how developed internally. Its activity is split between on-demand R&D projects and off-the-shelf products.

Founded in 1828, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore has a wide experience in classification of ships and offshore platforms. Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore provides ship classification, ship and equipment certification, technical assistance and outsourcing services. Its main objective is to improve the quality shipping around the world, bringing tangible benefits to ship-owners and to the environment through recognised quality systems and certification. To achieve this aim, BV performs research studies in various technical fields covering in particular risk analysis, hydrodynamics, structural reliability, energy efficiency, environmental impact assessment and software development.

CETENA S.p.A. - The Italian Ship Research Centre - is a company of the FINCANTIERI Group dedicated to research and consultancy in the naval and maritime field. CETENA’s technical activities consist of numerical studies, simulations and measurements on board ships and in the company’s laboratory. The competence areas are Hydrodynamics, Structures and Materials, Vibrations and Noise, Ship Vulnerability and Signatures, Human Factors, Virtual Prototyping, Risk Analysis.

CHORUS Research Institute is a French Non-Governmental Organisation founded on 15 years’ experience in academic research in Passive Acoustics (PA) applied to the marine environment. CHORUS uses marine soundscapes to acquire better environmental knowledge and proposes services for ecosystems monitoring, management and conservation. CHORUS core activities include measuring, processing and analysing marine soundscapes to answer ecologically relevant questions and to better understand marine ecosystems, as well as developing acoustic descriptors used in monitoring and management programs.

ESI Group is a leading innovator in Virtual Prototyping software and services who has acquired in 2001 first the STRACO company, created in 1986, who has a strong knowledge and expertise in vibro-acoustic coupled problems for low frequency range. For those applications, this company has developed the RAYON Finite/Boundary Element Methods solver.

QUIET-OCEANS: Incorporated in 2010 at the same time the Marine Strategy Framework Directive was published, Quiet- Oceans has become the French leader in passive acoustics, underwater noise prediction, monitoring and mitigation. QO employs 12 engineers and researchers in full-time and has a turnover of approximatively 1.2M€ in 2018. Quiet-Oceans provides state-of-the-art risk assessment tools and management capabilities to help governments and maritime industry to secure their projects. With an international portfolio, QO is involved with the major players of the offshore marine renewable industry, shipping, coastal development industry as well as with UE governmental agencies.

The University of Genoa (UNIGE) is a teaching and research institution, founded in 1933 and with an history starting in the 14th century. UNIGE has a strong participation in EU and international research and cooperation Programs. UNIGE has a long-standing experience in the field of ship design with a particular focus for the propeller underwater radiated noise; this was gained by means of a long cooperation with the national industries through own developed and national research projects.
